Abstract

|
This is to review the recently elucidated knowledge of electron-microscopic observations on the fine structures of the human retina.
They are the detailed features of neuronal system and glial cells of the retina with relationship among the various cellular structures. Brief descriptions on functional and clinical application are included.
Some of illustration figures listed are electron-microscopic pictures on the human retina prepared by the one of the authors (Yoo) for this article.
